Who does the Toy Library Cater For?
The Bankstown Toy Library is for children and young people, aged 0 to 18 years of age, who have a disability.
What is the Toy Library?
The Bankstown Toy Library is just like any other library, but we lend out toys instead of books. We have a variety of toys ranging from building blocks to musical instruments, baby toys, puzzles, board games, and toys designed to make learning fun.
We know how expensive toys can be, and how quickly children loose interest in them, leaving them to gather dust and clutter up storage space around the home. Borrowing toys from the library ensures that there is always something new to play with, and if the child doesn’t like the toy, it can simply be returned for another. The Toy Library also offers parents the chance to try before they buy.
Operating Times:
The Toy Library is open Mondays to Fridays, from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
Fees:
To use the library, you must become a Toy Library Member:
- Individual/Family Membership: $13.20 per year or $6.60 for 6 months.
- Group/Organisation Membership: $26.40 per year.
Borrowing:
Individual/Family Members can borrow up to 5 items and use them for three weeks.
Group/Organisation Members can borrow up to 10 times and use them for one month.
All toys are cleaned and checked before they are returned to the Library and made available again for borrowing.
